NIGERIAN AIR; Why you must keep quiet.

The ancient Greek philosopher , Plato once observed that the rule of democracy is a stupid rule. He stood on the argument that democracy itself covers an ignorant multitude who are most often heard and in every indication makes important decisions. He may or may not be correct depending from which angle you view it. In the contemporary Africa democracies, one would ask what really determine the choices the greater number of the population make. According to Plato, democracy gives an opportunity for people to make important  decisions without being even aware about what they are deciding no matter how stupid such decisions are and being a democracy  therefore, the views and decision of many are accepted as right. This is the situation in Africa and Nigeria not being an exception. In Nigeria for instance, there are so much ignorance on rampage even among the educated who are either lazy to seek information or are indifferent to what happens around them. Our national political,...

Ekiti Election; Small But Powerful Lesson for The South East.

One of the most interesting landmark of the outcome of Ekiti election is that the entire Yoruba states are now APC. Apart from easy victory for the President in 2019, they have once again demonstrated their mastery in the act of politics. Opposition is good for any democracy, but no politician embarks on the journey to deliberately play opposition. It's just a child of circumstance. The South East should think  again and reconsider their hard stand which has never helped them and integrate themselves to the "national grid" towards actualizing the dreams of the region. We are talking of 2023 and they get so agitated when it's mentioned. They view it as a ploy to woo them for PMB's victory. But they seem to understand very little in the dynamics of Nigeria politics. With South West comfortably secured, their vote may again never be needed. It breaks my heart to see that we behave in this manner, whatever is their reason, I do not know. However, I am optimistic...

The rAPC and the CUPP configuration....Matters arising.

With the split in APC, the defections, alliances and mergers, no doubt the political equation is being altered in the Nigerian political space as we approach 2019. Whichever side you belong, these changes will have some effects either positive or negative. Lets look at the the events that played out in 2014. When the aggrived members of PDP left and joined in the formation of APC,PDP never recovered and that resulted in their losing the election. Major factors:  Those that left had a significant influence in their respective states. Besides, they were heavyweights who command high level of followers and they all followed them to their new party. Governors Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano Aliyu Wamakko of Sokoto Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara Murtala Nyako of Adamawa Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers States. The above governors joined the APC after staging a walk out on the PDP national convention in Abuja in 2014 and that was how GEJ government was defeated. Recent events in 2018. There has ...

Before The Church Tenders Another Apology.

In recent times,we have witnessed lots of apologies coming from groups and individual as continuing tensions mounts in our nation today. First it was PDP that apologized for embezzling our national resources for 16 years. An apology received by Nigerians with mixed feelings. Then Vanguard apologized for calling Yorubas moron for supporting Buhari while CAN apologized for misleading Nigerians. The last was Premium Times that apologized for lying against Meyetti Allah. These are clear indications that the problem of the nation emanates from the politicians, religious bigotry and the press as clearly represented by PDP,CAN, Vanguard and Premium Times. Hate and bitterness has taken over every nooks and crannies of every aspect of the Nigerian society and it's unfortunate that it's coming directly from the pulpit. With the exception of few churches, Sunday sermons are all centered on fueling the most sensitive and burning issues in Nigeria. In the past, it was common knowledge ...
