Nigeria just unveiled their new kits for Russia 2018 and Ben Murray-Bruce Wrote;
Just imagine if those 3 million Nigerian Super Eagles jerseys were made by a firm in Aba rather than @Nike. Aba tailors have the capacity to produce them. We just lost an opportunity to infuse at least $100 million into the Nigerian economy and provide jobs for our youths.

My Final Thought: It's sad to get such comment from a supposedly educated Senator. Someone should quickly tell him that Nike paid money to Supper Eagles in the form of sponsorship and sometimes running into millions of dollars. This is the first time NFF has successfully eliminated third party relationships and will deal with Nike directly. It means more money for NFF.
The issue is this, we cannot be a member of the international community and still act like local champions. Will Aba tailors set up shops in America, Asia and Europe to get back their investment if they have the capacity to make this Jerseys. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate made in Naija products and I wear them as well. But this is all about marketing and making gains which Nike has the capacity to do. What the Senator does not understand is that the hype around the jersey was sponsored by Nike and the huge rating it's getting around the world is because Nike manufactured them. I am yet to see any countries Jersey made by indigenous tailors. He obviously don't understand economics and absolutely knows nothing about sports branding and team sponsorship. You think Aba will get the likes of Alex Iwobi, Wizkid, and other big-name celebrities to endorse the shirt and make foreigners rush for the Jersey.
We were told that Nike had about 3 million pre-order before sales opened on 1st June. Everything must not be politics trying to use the South East to score a political point by setting us up against the PMB as they always do when seeking political relevance. I don't blame them, I only blame those who dance to their tones in ignorance. The next thing now is for people to start preaching marginalization on why Aba is not given that opportunity. For me, Ben Murray-Bruce did not make any common sense here although I respect him as a senator of the Federal Republic.
